Who are we?

As explained in our terms, through the Website (including any Driveo widgets placed on third-party sites) and Service, we connect people looking to sell their vehicle with automobile “Dealers” who offer “Quotes” to purchase the vehicle. As such our Company operates as a marketing or “lead generation” service specific to the sale of used cars. We are not Dealers and we do not buy any vehicles from users of the Website.

Most of the information we collect from you occurs when you request a Quote through the Website or our text message/SMS service. At that time, we collect basic information about your identity, contact information, and vehicle. Once you have submitted your request, we may match you with a Dealer in your area, who may reach out to you to require more information and/or provide a non-binding Quote.

In order to provide the Service, we share the information you submit with Dealers with the hope of finding one that is willing to give you a Quote for your vehicle.

In addition to information provided by you as part of your original inquiry, we also collect routine device and other data, and we use data to deliver advertisements that may be of interest to you.

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and disclose information of users. Please also see our separate Terms of Service, which incorporate by reference this Privacy Policy and which include definitions applicable to this Privacy Policy.

Unless otherwise expressly stated, this Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party practices, websites, or services, whether or not referenced in our Service. Each third party will have its own privacy practices and policies, which you should review before using them. As used herein, “third parties” includes any Dealers you meet through the Service. Once you are communicating or otherwise transacting directly with a Dealer, we no longer have access to or control over the information exchanged as part of such communication or transaction. In such case, the information you disclose to the Dealer will be governed by that Dealer’s privacy policy.
